AOM-AOT Modpack 2021 Hi there, This is my third modpack, and it's a minor improvement on the 2020 one. I have updated my UIs to work better with the new observer commands introduced in VBP 5.0 and made some fixes to the tooltips and updated the VBP tooltip to 5.0. Some mods are not compatible with AoM but it is indicated when that is the case. Over the years a lot of mods have been made for AoM/AoT and a lot of versions of the same mod exist. I have selected a list of mods and made sure their versions are the most up to date you can get. Some of these most up to date versions were still filled with errors, thus I fixed those. The pack also includes some of my own mods. To make it easier to navigate all these mods and decide what you do or don't need I have greatly improved all the original readmes and inserted images. There are three ways of obtaining all the mods in this modpack: 1. Downloading the .zip found attached to this post. 2. Go to my Google drive where I have collected all my works and navigate to the AoM The Titans/AoM Vanilla sections and download the files from there. Please click here to go to the drive. 3. Go to the Voobly "Visual or Content Mods" page. Some of the mods that were eligible for that section have also been uploaded there. Please also read the "Installation Guide" tab over there to see how to enable / disable the mod. Doing it this way will of course mean it's only active when playing via Voobly, but you will instantly receive updates to the mod if they are made. Link to Voobly's Visual or Content Mods page.

  3. EE Patch 2.8 Most Complete and Correct Changelog Hi there, The official changelog for 2.8 is remarkably accurate par from some minor errors. I have just rewritten every change because I use a different format. A little explanation of the format I use. The official name for Atlantean heroes would be written like this: "unit (Hero)". I do not write it like this because I prefer to not have so many () in my notes. Instead I write "Hero unit" (for example Hero Murmillo). If it says (Hero) Destroyer this means both the Hero Destroyer and the regular Destroyer. So (Shennong) Fire Lance means both the regular Fire Lance and the Shennong Fire Lance. If I say "Now provides" or "Now deals", this means that before this patch it didn't do what follows these lines. Meaning it is a brand new addition to the game. This changelog provides only the changes which are most relevant to competitive play. Things such as texture and game menu fixes that have no influence over a game are not included. If you spot any mistakes in this changelog please let me know so I can optimize this list. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Balance Changes: Greek Balance Changes: Egyptian Balance Changes: Norse Balance Changes: Atlantean Balance Changes: Chinese Balance Changes: Deathmatch Balance Changes: Balance Related Bug Fixes: Most Relevant Bug Fixes:
  4. Meta-Plays Warning Point System Every forum site comes with a set of rules users need to live by if they don't want to get in trouble. The rules for Meta-Plays are outlined in its terms of service and can also be read below. If you break any of these rules you will receive so called warning points. The punishments attached to a certain amount of warning points is outlined below. Meta Plays Site Rules: The only language allowed on this site is English. No spam. All automated messages, advertisements, links to inappropriate websites, excessive manually made posts can be flagged as spam by staff. Bumping of a thread where the last post was more than a year ago can be considered a spam post when there was no need to bump it. Post in relevant sub-forums only. Respect other users. No excessive flaming or abusing of fellow forum members. Staff will be using their own judgement to determine if trash talking takes a wrong turn. Harassment. No threats or harassment of other users, racism / cheating accusations / impersonation are also included here. No profanity. Adult content. No pornographic, violent, or vulgar content. Illegal content. No re-posting of copyrighted materials or other illegal content. No intentional exploiting or abuse of on-site systems. No topics containing either cheats, exploits, or hacks that can potentially influence multiplayer games. Using either cheats, exploits, or hacks in Meta-Plays sanctioned events results in punitive action on the website itself. No creation of secondary accounts. No sedition. Warning Points Explained: If you break the rules a staff member will punish you and give you a certain amount of warning points with a certain decay time. For a general indication of what punishment to expect for each transgression read below. You can both increase your warning points total by transgressing multiple times in a short amount of time or lower your warning points total by not transgressing for a long time. You can for example get 5 warning points with a decay time of 180 days. You will then be banned for 7 days and after you've been un-banned you will still have 5 warning points on your account for the next 173 days. If you then commit a low level offence and get 1 warning point you will be banned for 10 days. This 1 warning point can decay in 30 days bringing you back down to 5. All in all this means that you can get yourself back down to 0 warning points with prolonged good behavior. Or get increasingly harsher punishments if you continue your bad behavior. The only exception to this is when you manage to accumulate 10 warning points. When you reach 10 warning points you will be banned for 365 days. After that ban expires you would normally be back at 0 warning points because the decay time of warning points never exceeds 365 days. But since accumulating 10 warning points is seen as a big offence you will from now on always have 4 warning points on your account that can't be decayed. Meaning that each future offence will always result in a ban of a minimum of 7 days. Guidelines For Punishments: If the transgression has to do with a post the post will always be deleted / modified in addition to the punishments laid out below. Punishment for breaking rule 1 Posting in any other language than English: The offending account gets a warning explaining that the language used is not allowed. If the user continues his behavior after the warning each consecutive post will be labeled as a spam post and those rules will apply. Punishment for breaking rule 2 Spam: If the offending account made 1 - 5 posts labeled as spam the account receives 1 warning point which decays after 90 days If the offending account made 6 - 10 posts labeled as spam the account receives 2 warning points which decay after 90 days. If the offending account made 10+ posts labeled as spam the account receives 3 warning points which decay after 180 days. If the offending account is clearly an account purely made to create spam posts the account in instantly perma banned alongside an IP ban. Unnecessarily bumping of topics may also be classified as a spam post. Punishment for breaking rule 3 Post in relevant sub-forums only: If a post is deemed to be in the wrong forum a staff member may move the thread to the correct forum. Usually this kind of offence isn't an intended offence and no official warning will be given. But if the offending account deliberately continues this behavior a warning will be issued. You may receive 2 warnings for this offence before the misplaced threads are considered spam topics and the rules for those apply. Punishment for breaking rule 4 Respect other users: Every instance of this happening will be evaluated individually by staff and a fitting punishment will be determined. This punishment will also serve as a guideline for future similar transgressions. Generally 1 or 2 warning points will be given for this offence which decay after 90 days. Punishment for breaking rule 5 Harassment: Every instance of this happening will be evaluated individually by staff and a fitting punishment will be determined. This punishment will also serve as a guideline for future similar transgressions. Generally 3 to 5 warning points will be given for this offence which decay after 120 to 180 days. Every instance of impersonation will be evaluated individually by staff and a fitting punishment will be determined (depending on the intent of the impersonation). This punishment will also serve as a guideline for future similar transgressions. Impersonation during tournaments (excluding smurf tournaments) will result into a perma ban for both the main account and the impersonating account. Death threats will result into the offending account receiving 10 warning points which decay after 365 days. Punishment for breaking rule 6 Profanity: Generally posts containing profanity are deleted/modified and the staff member will give the offending account a warning. You may receive 2 warnings for this offence before the staff will give 1 warning point which decays after 90 days. Punishment for breaking rule 7 Adult Content: If the post clearly is pornographic, violent, or vulgar the offending account gets 2 warning points which decay after 180 days. If the post is deemed one of the previous three things but it isn't clear cut the offending account could know it would be labeled as such the offending account receives a warning explaining that this type of content counts as adult content. If a similar post is made after the warning the offending account is given 2 warning points which decay after 180 days. Punishment for breaking rule 8 Illegal content: If the post clearly contains copyrighted or illegal material the offending account gets 2 warning points which decay after 180 days. If the post is deemed one of the previous three things but it isn't clear cut the offending account could know it would be labeled as such the offending account receives a warning explaining that this type of content counts as illegal content. If a similar post is made after the warning the offending account is given 2 warning points which decay after 180 days. Punishment for breaking rule 9 Abuse of on-site systems: Every instance of this happening will be evaluated individually by staff and a fitting punishment will be determined. This punishment will also serve as a guideline for future similar transgressions. Punishment for breaking rule 10 Posts with cheats: Every instance of this happening will be evaluated individually by staff and a fitting punishment will be determined. This punishment will also serve as a guideline for future similar transgressions. If it is clear that the offending account knew fully well that the cheats, exploits, or hacks would have serious implications for multiplayer games the offending account will receive 10 warning points which decay after 365 days. Punishment for breaking rule 11 Using cheats in events: The offending account will receive 10 warning points which decay after 365 days. In addition to this the account's rating will be reset and is exempted from any winnings that were still outstanding or would be earned even with the reset + 365 day suspension. Punishment for breaking rule 12 Secondary accounts: If a user created a secondary account the secondary account will instantly be perma banned and the main account will receive 5 warning points which decay after 365 days. If a user created a secondary account to enter in Meta-Plays tournaments the secondary account will instantly be perma banned and the main account will receive 10 warning points which decay after 365 days. In addition to this the main account's rating will be reset and is exempted from any winnings that were still outstanding or would be earned even with the reset + 365 day suspension. You are not allowed to make a secondary account to dodge a ban on your main account. If you do so the secondary account will be perma banned and the main account will receive 5 warning points which decay after 365 days. Punishment for breaking rule 13 Sedition: Every instance of this happening will be evaluated individually by staff and a fitting punishment will be determined. This punishment will also serve as a guideline for future similar transgressions. The punishment will strongly correlate with what you're trying to get a fellow Meta-Plays member to do. If you excessively misbehave on other platforms directly related to Meta-Plays (e.g. official Meta-Plays Twitch channel chat / Meta-Plays Discord) you may also be punished on this site: Every instance of this happening will be evaluated individually by staff and a fitting punishment will be determined. This punishment will also serve as a guideline for future similar transgressions. On top of each of these punishments the staff member can decide to moderate your content. Meaning that each post you make for a period of time (length decided by staff on own judgement) must be approved by a staff member. Serial offenders may receive punishments different (harsher) from the outlined ones in the guidelines. It can for example happen that a user is intentionally juggling warning points to not reach 10 but keeps making minor offences that puts the user at let's say 9 maximum. This serial offender may be punished with an amount of warning points the staff sees fit. Not every situation is the same and intention matters. Because of this punishments may deviate from the guidelines (this will rarely happen though). In the end the staff always has the last say in what is a fitting punishment for a specific transgression. How To See Your Own Warning Points: If you have been issued a warning a big red bar will appear in your screen. You must then first acknowledge your warning before you can continue posting. This way we're sure you know you have been warning and you must tread carefully. You can view your own warning points history by going to your own profile and looking at the left side of your screen. You will then see something like this (hopefully without warnings of course): In this example the offending account received 2 warning points that decayed after 1 hour. Thus you can see that there are no current warning points but in the past it was 2 warning points which prevented the account from posting for 1 day. You are always able to see the following things after you have been punished: How many warning points you were given Who gave them to you. The category of the offence + the reason explained. The time it takes until the warning points decay. The punishment attached to the accumulated warning points.
  5. Ippert's Mod Collection View File Ippert's Mod Collection My mod collection is available via my personal Google drive. Here I have collected all my published mods and some handy mods from other people I have made this drive because I got very tired of needing to update several posts across several websites when I wanted to publish an update for AoM/AoT mods. Now I can just link to this drive in posts that I don’t need to alter and update the mods on here. This process is much faster and less stressful for me. Even though the EE mods are all via the Steam workshop I have decided to dedicate a section on this drive to them. It will just be a short overview of what I’ve made for EE and some handy other mods for EE which I didn’t create. Go To My Drive! Submitter Ippert Submitted 04/30/2020 Category Modpacks
  6. View File 4.0 Tooltip and an "Encyclopedia" VBP 4.0 Tooltip and an "Encyclopedia" Hi there, I have updated the tooltip for VBP 3.0 to 4.0. In addition to that I have reworked some parts of the tooltip and Excel to be less confusing and more compact. The files found in the downloadable zip are the tooltip, the Excel file and some instructions. It's important to note that to fully understand the tooltip you must have read the Excel file aswell. The Excel file is in a way the backbone of the tooltip. Even people who think they already fully understand this game and don't play with a tooltip might be interested in the excel file. Much of this game is unknown to most players, even high level players. All the information found in the Excel file and the tooltip is backed by extensive research on the game's code and the game's mechanics. Since we do not have acces to the full code of AOT some parts remain funded by educated guesses. And I don't exclude I haven't made some minor mistakes. But please point them out and I can improve my work. ATTENTION: When the patch gets updated it will remove the xpacklanguage.dll from your mod folder and your tooltip will be uninstalled!!! So when you enter the Voobly AoT game lobby and get a pop up message saying the patch has been updated you must reinstall the tooltip!!! Reading the Excel file can be done using a couple of different softwares. 1. Excel itself. 2. WPS Office-> this software will move some pictures around slightly distorting the layout. 3. Libreoffice WPS Office and Libreoffice are free to download. Happy reading Submitter Ippert Submitted 01/20/2020 Category Miscellaneous Files
  7. EE No Patch to 2.8 Most Complete and Correct Changelog Hi there, Unbeknownst to many people is the fact that the official changelogs are not always complete. Thus I have taken it upon myself to write my own notes which I hope are first of all more complete and also try to be clearer in some aspects. The changes made to the Chinese civilization are included in this list. The changes regarding them are of course not compared to no patch since they were not part of that. Those changes are compared to the initial release of the Chinese in patch 2.0. I have left out the changes made in a hotfix shortly after the release of the Chinese since they are really not interesting anymore. There are other changes which regard units the Tale of the Dragon expansion added in for the original civilizations. Those changes are also compared to patch 2.0. A little explanation of the format I use. The official name for Atlantean heroes would be written like this: "unit (Hero)". I do not write it like this because I prefer to not have so many () in my notes. Instead I write "Hero unit" (for example Hero Murmillo). 8. View File AOM-AOT Modpack 2020 AOM-AOT Modpack 2020 Hi there, This is my second modpack (first one was named AOT Mod Pack 2019) and I believe it's a great improvement on the first one. I have removed some useless mods and inserted some new useful ones to make the pack better. Another noteworthy improvement is that AOM is now fully integrated in the mod pack, thus making it not only focused on AOT. Some mods are not compatible with AOM though but it is indicated when that is the case. The "AOT Encyclopedia Spreadsheet no patch" isn't really a mod but it is an information file about the mechanical side of the game and is part of the Enhanced Tooltips. 9. View File Ippert's Complete UI Ippert's Complete UI Hi there, I have made an UI which is inspired by eSanta but tries to massively improve on it. It removes any useless/rarely used buttons and adds stuff which actually serves a purpose. The main feature of this UI is its multifunctionality, it can be used to play / observe live games / observe recorded games. Open the readme found inside the zip to learn how to install the mod. Current gatherers on favor glitch: This can sometimes glitch out and show: "villagers / monuments / heroes gathering / settlements" instead of numbers. This issue seems completely random and some people can have it glitched one game and fixed the other. If you were playing norse and this glitch occured you couldn't clearly see your current favor since the "heroes gathering" text was so large. I have reduced the size of the textbox so it can no longer overlap with current favor. Voobly only functionalities: - The buttons used for observer commands only work while playing on Voobly patches with certain maps. Version 1.1 29-10-2019 Fixed issues with the observer buttons. Version 1.2 10-12-2019 All UI elements while observing are now located top right to clear the top left corner. 10. View File No patch Tooltip and an "Encyclopedia" No patch Tooltip and an "Encyclopedia" Hi there, After working on tooltips for the Voobly Balance Patches I realized that all the old tooltips were significantly flawed. Thus after completing a tooltip for Voobly Balance Patch 3.0 I set out to make a tooltip for no patch (Ensemble 1.03). This tooltip removes all the flaws the old tooltips had and added a bunch of info. On top of that I remade an old Excel file to include tons of new information and it has now become an integral part of the tooltip itself. The files found in the downloadable zip are the tooltip, the Excel file and some instructions. It's important to note that to fully understand the tooltip you must have read the Excel file as well. 12. View File AOT Mod Pack 2019 A newer version of this modpack is out here! Hi there, It came to my attention that finding working and still relevant mods for AOT TT is an absolute pain in 2019, and probably has been for many years. Most posts have broken links by now or are just not suited for voobly patch 3.0. And digging through the AOMHeaven archives might result into brain damage or worse. But I went on this risky adventure and compiled a list of mods which players in 2019 actually still want to have acces to. The mods in this pack have been tested for TT and are confirmed working. I have altered some of them to be Voobly patch 3.0 ready. And others I have altered since I thought I could do a better job at it, and you be the judge on if I actually did a better job or not. And some of them are my own creation. List of mods in this .zip: - AutoQueue Flag On Building - Default UI with Villager Count - Editor Widescreen Fix - Ekanta UI Versions (3 versions) - Enhanced Tooltips (2 versions, needs to be used with the corresponding Excel spreadsheets) - Enlarged Font - Hotkey Editor - Main Menu Modified Titans Only - Pete's UI - Spectator or Casting UI - Updated Techtree costs - Upgraded Texture Mod - AOT "Encyclopedia" Spreadsheet 3.0 (explains parts of the corresponding Enhanced Tooltips) - AOT "Encyclopedia" Spreadsheet no patch (explains parts of the corresponding Enhanced Tooltips) Another thing I noticed while downloading mods was that the readmes that came with them were an utter mess. So I have written a readme for each mod which I think is much clearer and better. I hope this will help a lot of people who want to install mods!
