Exception: you can draw the Sentinels to attack an enemy minibase or units, and still capture the node. Exception: Cannon Fodder can take nodes any way you want. Mild cases of node strat will result in a warning (eg accidental retreats). 3 warnings will result in a match loss. Severe cases of node strat will result in a match loss (eg purposefully forced capture or cloak-based node strat). Resigning without admin permission will be counted as a loss. 1 hour time limit. If base and slot building count is even/very close, and neither player has a large army advantage, the game is a draw. If one player has an army advantage, casters will send a final attack prompt. The outcome of this last attack determines whether a winner or a draw is called, based on the base/slot building count afterwards. Draws result in both teams receiving a point on the scoreboard. If one player has a clear base and slot building count advantage and their opponent is not in a position to even out the game with the next attack, the player with more slot buildings wins. Replay match if the series ends on tie. The previous loser picks map in this case. No cheating or intentional exploiting of any form allowed. Meta Plays SpellForce 3 League Season 4 Announcement
Nakamura posted a piece of SpellForce 3 News in SpellForce 3 News
We are pleased to announce the Meta Plays SpellForce 3 League Season 4! Nakamura will cover key matches via personal Twitch and YouTube channels. Introducing the Pro League Season 1: (Note: all leagues are rebooted in terms of numbering) Pro League Tournament 1 - Double Elimination - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting September 13 - 1 round per week Pro League Tournament 2 - Double Elimination - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting Date TBA Pro League Tournament 3 - GSL Group Stage - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting Date TBA Introducing the Rising Star League Season 1: Rising Star League Tournament 1 - Double Elimination - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting September 13 - 1 round per week Rising Star League Tournament 2 - Double Elimination - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting Date TBA Rising Star League Tournament 3 - GSL Group Stage - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting Date TBA Introducing the Amateur League Season 1: Amateur League Tournament 1 - Double Elimination - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting September 13 - 1 round per week Amateur League Tournament 2 - Double Elimination - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting Date TBA Amateur League Tournament 3 - GSL Group Stage - 1000 Ladder Points - Starting Date TBA Note: this article and our calendar will be updated as we progress through the season and new info becomes available. Return To Tournaments & Casual Approach As you can see, these events are not going to receive the usual Meta Plays package of full live coverage, and self-funded prize pools. This is purely a passion project in an effort to give SpellForce 3 players a fair, structured environment to play in consistently. More importantly, we think that our new Provisional Ranking System has real potential to allow players to play in their own skill division. This is extremely important for growth, both in terms of player interest and overall retention. We understand that no new player wants to go up against the top players and get smashed in round 1, hence the separate leagues. Given players' schedule constraints, we are also going with single events over a qualifier -> main event system, as we want new players to be able to join our events for the first time any time, rather than having to sit out a main event they didn't qualify for. In the new year, once we have gathered enough players, we will also investigate hosting 2v2 tournaments. Lastly, while there will be both a short and long-term ladder for players to compete in, monetary prizes are entirely community-driven. Only the Pro and Rising Star Leagues will accept community donations. 100% of proceeds will go to prize pools. Access To Sign Ups - The Provisional Ranking System Since we last hosted SpellForce 3 events, we have added a new leapfrogging ranking system. This will allow us to segment the leagues, stopping top players from playing in the Amateur League, and likewise stopping low and mid level players from playing in the Pro League. This approach is strongly in line with player feedback we have seen over the last few years. Provisional Ranking Tiers will give you access to sign up to specific events like so: Pro League: S and A Tiers Rising Star League: A, B, C, D, E, F Tiers Amateur League: B, C, D, E, F Tiers Moving through Provisional Rankings happens every time a tournament series or a showmatch gets a result on our website with immediate effect. So if you are currently rank 8, and beat rank 5, you will be the new rank 5, and the former rank 5 is now rank 6. Everyone in-between loses a rank as well. You will be able to view the Provisional Rankings on this page. The tiers are distributed as follows for SpellForce 3: S Tier: Rank 1-4 A Tier: Rank 5-12 B Tier: Rank 13-24 C Tier: Rank 25-40 D Tier: Rank 41-60 E Tier: Rank 61-84 F Tier: Rank 85+ We will start with Provisional Rankings that are based our staff's best judgement, but we expect any errors will be corrected within a single season, especially with the help of showmatches. Caveat: 2v2 is not supported by the Provisional Ranking System. For 2v2 events, we will manually restrict sign ups for some players. Of course, there will be badges on your profiles, in event sign-up lists, and in the ladders as eye-candy. See them below for all games. How the Seasonal Ranking Ladder Works Each tournament we host will reward players that have won any series with Meta Plays Ladder Points. The more you win, the more points you receive. These Meta Plays Points then will go towards a Seasonal Ranking Ladder. Each League has its own separate Ladder. The Seasonal Ranking Ladder will start everyone at 0 points when a new season comes around. The scaling of the ladder points works as follows: Base value: 10x Prize pool in GBP (or monetary value in prizes). The number of players in the tournaments will scale the points in the following way: 4-8: -50% 9-15: -25% 16-23: no change 24-31: +50% 32-47: +75% 48-64: +100% You can review the point spread between player placements using our Tournament Point Calculator. Cosmetic Features In The Seasonal Ranking Ladder Based on your position in the ladder, we assign you to a "Class" - one of D(lowest), C, B, A and S(highest). The classes give you a badge and will be featured on your Profile. For the Main Event, we will only take our own ladder into account for your seeding. Check out the Class icons below. The top 4 players will also receive medals corresponding with their final placement in each Tournament. For additional info, please check our Tournament and Ladder explainer posts! Where To Watch Nakamura will cover key matches via personal Twitch and YouTube channels, using replays. Community casters will have access to cover matches live or otherwise without restrictions. Please contact @Nakamurafor clearance in advance if you want to cast. Can I Host Tournaments Too? Yes! We are in fact looking for additional Content Partners that are interested in either helping to cover our own events, or to host their own leagues with separate Seasonal Ranking Ladders. W-e will closely work with you to help you set up your events. You can apply as a content partner here. That is pretty much it! Let us know what you think in the comments below, join Nakamura's Discord for SpellForce 3 events, and the Meta Plays Discord if you're interested in the other games we cover. We will see you on the battlefield! -

EVENT PRIZES Prize distribution is as follows: 1st place: £80 | 509 Meta Plays Ladder Points | Gold Medal Icon 2nd place: £60 | 369 Meta Plays Ladder Points | Silver Medal Icon 3rd place: £40 | 269 Meta Plays Ladder Points | Bronze Medal Icon 4th place: £20 | 189 Meta Plays Ladder Points | Copper Medal Icon 5-6th place: 107 Meta Plays Ladder Points 7-8th place: 72 Meta Plays Ladder Points 9-12th place: 47 Meta Plays Ladder Points 13-16th place: 32 Meta Plays Ladder Points We thank our generous contributors to this tournament listed below. DarkAngel: £70 Blinx: £30 Confused about the tournament system? Check our Tournament and Ladder info posts, and the Halo Wars 2 Season 7 announcement! GAME SETTINGS First map is picked by the higher seeded player. Losing player each game picks next map. Each map may only be played once. Valid maps: Ashes, Badlands, Bedrock, Fissures, Frontier, Mirage, Rift, Vault. After the first map is picked, the higher seeded player hosts a leader draft: Bo 1: https://aoe2cm.net/preset/ywzVZ - 2 bans, 2 picks per player Bo 3: https://aoe2cm.net/preset/AFYgq - 2 bans, 4 picks per player Bo 5: https://aoe2cm.net/preset/PekZM - 2 bans, 5 picks per player Bo 7: https://aoe2cm.net/preset/PlOlF - 1 ban, 7 picks per player The draft link must be shared in the Meta Plays Discord. No repeat leaders in a series. Otherwise, any leader within with the pool of the players' own picks may be used. You may not use a leader from your opponent's pick pool (ergo there are no mirror matchups). If you pick an invalid leader, your opponent picks any leader for you, and for themselves. This penalty comes without restrictions, opening up access to banned and already used up leaders to both sides. No node strat - do not take nodes without the intent of killing Sentinels. Exception: you can draw the Sentinels to attack an enemy minibase or units, and still capture the node. Exception: Cannon Fodder can take nodes any way you want. Players must use in-game chat or DMs to notify casters of the node-strat. Casters will need to confirm for validity. Depending on severity, penalties may range from match loss or disqualification to long-term or even permanent bans. Hosting Games will be hosted by the higher seeded player when staff is not present. Casters will host if they are present. Exceptions may apply based on judgement calls. SOCIAL RULES Participants must be in the Meta Plays Discord. Report match results there. Forfeiting/not showing up to any match with money prizes without notice will result in disqualification and you forfeiting the prizes. 1 rescheduling opportunity is granted when external conditions force it. There will not be a second rescheduling. Forfeiting players that break rules on any of our platforms, or do so out of malicious intent will be banned from the next event. Repeat offenders will receive a ban for the entire current and next season. Reoffending after the above season ban results in a permanent ban. Penalties for not showing up: Timer starts when 1 player is ready and neither player is currently playing a match. Late by over 10 minutes: opponent gains 1 match win. This is the wait time BEFORE a series begins. BETWEEN games in a series, the lateness limit is 5 minutes. Late by additional 5 minutes: opponent gains 1 match win for each 5 min. Depending on severity, penalties may range from match loss or disqualification to long-term or even permanent bans. Hosting Game 1 will be hosted by Mar, and then players will alternate host. Once a player wins via lateness penalties, the late player is disqualified. Stalling games after final staff decisions will result in lateness penalties as well. No harassment or discrimination against players/viewers/staff on any of our platforms. You will be disqualified, forfeit of prizes in this event, and be permanently banned from all event participation. No public cheating accusations. Use our private Cheating Reports page, or DM our staff. Cheating players outside of our events (in matchmaking, or non-Meta Plays events) will be banned from events for 3 months. Players engaging in public witch hunts will receive the same penalty as cheaters. Reports must be private. Repeat offenses will double the previous penalty each time. No excessively derogatory messaging targeting our staff on any platform. This will result in a permanent ban on all Meta Plays platforms. Win trading will result in forfeit. Do your best to win. You may resign if you are clearly losing. Live coaching or any other external communication during matches is unacceptable and will result in a permanent ban from all Meta Plays events. Do not sign up with smurfs. Match all account usernames. We will remove suspicious sign-ups. No account sharing. You will be disqualified, forfeit prizes in this event, and will be permanently banned from all event participation. STABILITY RULES In the event of player lag disputes, players must submit speedtest results. The event manager will make a judgement call. In the event of a glitch where a building isn't building itself (the symbol preview never disappears): Within the first 3 minutes of the game, the player must type into the game chat, or notify the casters in DMs. Casters will need to confirm for validity. If the glitch is verified, an admin restart will be issued. If the glitch is not verified, the game should continue. Resigning without admin permission will be counted as a loss. In the event of a disconnection or crash: If the game was relatively even: If all parties crash, re-play the game. The game doesn't count for score in the first instance. The player who didn't disconnect may choose a new map, and both players may choose a new leader. In the second instance, the player who didn't disconnect receives a point on the score board. In the third instance, the player who didn't disconnect wins the series. If both sides crash 3 times, reset PC/Xbox and internet. If a player was significantly ahead: Admin win is awarded for the match for all cases. In the third instance, the player who didn't disconnect wins the series. Johnson/Jerome crash: The Johnson/Jerome player loses. In the event of both players causing a crash, we will treat this case as a disconnect and follow rules around them.

We are pleased to announce our the first of our trial events for Broken Arrow, in a 2v2 format! Depending on the performance of this event and future ones, we will evaluate whether to support the game on a consistent basis. Sign-Ups On August 30th and 31st, you have the opportunity to compete for glory and win your portion of the 100 USD starting prize pool. To participate, state your intention to sign up via the Meta Plays Discord by August 29th, midnight UTC. Check-in begins on both days at 2:30 PM UTC, start time is at 3:00 PM UTC. Format & Rules Single elimination tournament Maps: Ruda 1 Riga 1 Dead Center 1 Chkalovsk 1 Baltics 1 Chernyakhovsky 1 Black coast 1 Highway to death 1 Jelgavas pils 1 Klaipeda rift 1 Snow castle 1 Lobby Settings: Map size: small Starting resources: 1000 Income: 300 Upkeep: 2 Time limit: 30 Bonus requisition: 50 Seed determination Higher seed is determined by a coin toss at the start of the series preparation 3. Preparation phase Use the following tool to determine maps and ban specializations. https://aoe2cm.net/preset/PQkzn The higher seed player is responsible for hosting the banning phase. Banning phase results must be posted on the tournament’s Discord channel. Each team can ban 1 RU and 1 US specialization combination which can not be used by the opponent during the series. eg.: Team alpha bans GUARD+MOTORIZED and USMC+ARMORED, therefore team brave can’t use GUARD+MOTORIZED and/or USMC+ARMORED throughout any of the games. Team bravo bans VDV+GUARD and USMC+ARMORED, therefore team alpha can’t use VDV+GUARD and/or USMC+ARMORED throughout any of the games. The higher seed team has to lock in the selected decks in the lobby first. 4. Specialization uniqueness rule Each team can only have one per each specialization in a single match. Eg.: Alpha team player 1 picks VDV+GUARD, therefore Alpha team player 2 can’t pick VDV+GUARD, VDV+MOTORIZED, or GUARD+MOTORIZED etc… 5. Game format No mirror matches and no mixed faction teams. Each team has to play 1 RU and 1 US game. Each team can only pick a map from their own map pool. Sniped maps can’t be picked. A map can only be played once per set. 6. Game 1 The first game is played on the higher seed team’s map. The higher seed team can decide if they want to pick a faction or starting position. The lower seed team picks the other option. 7. Game 2 In the 2nd game factions are switched between the teams and the team which did not pick the starting position in the first game will pick the starting position in the 2nd game. 8. Game 3 In the case of deciding games, the team which won their game with more victory points gets to play their selected map and can decide to pick a faction or starting position first. eg: game1 scores: team alpha 10 - team bravo 9, game 2 scores team alpha 0 - team bravo 8. Team alpha has more victory points therefore the 3rd game is played on their selected map and they can choose between picking a faction or starting location first. 9. Post game The winning team has to post a screenshot of the victory point scores at the end of the game. 10. Other rules In the case of an uncapturable zone bug, the team noticing this problem has to announce the fact in the chat and both teams HAVE to take a screenshot of the capture point and the chat message being visible from their perspective. Referees can decide to adjust points of a team if it's clearly determined that the point could have been captured despite the bug but only for phase 3 victory point calculation. —---------------- Possible specialization combinations for banning phase: RU: VDV+GUARD 1 VDV+MOTORIZED 1 VDV+COASTAL 1 VDV+MECHANIZED 1 GUARD+MOTORIZED 1 GUARD+COASTAL 1 GUARD+MECHANIZED 1 MOTORIZED+COASTAL 1 MOTORIZED+MECHANIZED 1 COASTAL+MECHANIZED 1 US: USMC+ARMORED 1 USMC+AIRBORNE 1 USMC+STRYKER 1 USMC+SPECIAL 1 ARMORED+AIRBORNE 1 ARMORED+STRYKER 1 ARMORED+SPECIAL 1 AIRBORNE+STRYKER 1 AIRBORNE+SPECIAL 1 STRYKER+SPECIAL 1 Seed determination Higher seed is determined by a coin toss at the start of the series preparation. Preparation phase Use the following tool to determine maps and ban specializations: https://aoe2cm.net/preset/PQkzn The higher seed player is responsible for hosting the banning phase. Banning phase results must be posted on the tournament’s Discord channel. Each team can ban 1 RU and 1 US specialization combination which can not be used by the opponent during the series. example: team alpha bans GUARD+MOTORIZED and USMC+ARMORED, therefore team bravo can’t use GUARD+MOTORIZED and/or USMC+ARMORED throughout the rest of the set. Team bravo bans VDV+GUARD and USMC+ARMORED, therefore team alpha can’t use VDV+GUARD and/or USMC+ARMORED throughout the set. Specialization uniqueness rule Each team can only have one unique specialization in a single match. Eg.: Alpha team player 1 picks VDV+GUARD, precluding Alpha team player 2 from picking VDV+GUARD, VDV+MOTORIZED, or GUARD+MOTORIZED etc… Game format No mirror matches and no mixed faction teams. Each team has to play 1 RU and 1 US game. Each team can only pick a map from their own map pool. Sniped maps can’t be picked. A map can only be played once per set. Game 1 The first game is played on the higher seed team’s choice of map. The higher seed team can then choose if they want to pick their faction or starting position on their selected map. The lower seed team picks the other option. Game 2 In the 2nd game factions are switched between the teams and the team which did not pick the starting position AND map in the first game will pick both the starting position AND map in the 2nd game. Game 3 In decider games, scores from both games will be added up to a total to determine who has pick dominance for map selection and EITHER faction OR starting position, with the lower pick priority team picking the other option. example: game 1 scores: team alpha 10 - team bravo 9, game 2 scores: team alpha 0 - team bravo 8. Team bravo has more victory points therefore the 3rd game is played on their selected map and they can choose between picking a faction or starting location first. Sudden Death Clause If a sudden death occurs, the team who is sudden deathing will be awarded maximum points for a game, whilst the team getting sudden deathed will still have their points count towards their total if a potential decider game is needed. Surrender Clause: If a team surrenders (leaves before the game is officially over) MAXIMUM poins will be awarded to victorious team, while the surrendering team lose any points accumulated in that game and will not have them count towards a total for a potential decider game. Post game EACH team has to post a screenshot of the victory point scores at the end of the game. If no screenshots are taken of the point scores, screenshots of post game screen with destruction scores will have to be taken. The higher destruction score will be used in this scenario to determine pick dominance. If destruction score is needed to determine a deciding game 3 for a set, destruction scores from game 1 and 2 will be added together to determine total destruction score and thus determine pick dominance. IF NO SCREENSHOTS ARE TAKEN, THE REFEREE'S CAN DECIDED TO FORCE RE-DO THE SET OR DQ BOTH TEAMS, TAKE YOUR SCREENSHOTS. In the case of an uncapturable zone bug, the team noticing this problem has to announce the fact in the chat and both teams HAVE to take a screenshot of the capture point and the chat message being visible from their perspective. Referees can decide to adjust points of a team if it's clearly determined that the point could have been captured despite the bug but only for phase 3 victory point calculation. Conduct yourself professionally: be on time, and treat fellow players, casters and our staff with respect How to Watch Day 1: Olvadi will cover the initial rounds on his personal Twitch channel. Day 2: Olvadi and N7shark will cover the top matches on the Meta Plays Twitch channel. Giveaways During day 2, we will be giving away one key each of Company of Heroes 3, Age of Mythology Retold and SpellForce: Conquest of Eo! Simply be in our Twitch chat during the August 31st stream when we call for each giveaway to take part. Looking to contribute? With the help of the incredibly helpful community members Greyshot and Mule, we are putting down $100 towards the starting prize pool of the event. You can help further increase via our donation page, earning you guaranteed crediting, as well as shiny profile medals, in addition to our eternal gratitude. About Meta Plays and Broken Arrow To those of you hearing of us for the first time, we are an esports organization with a community focus for multiple RTS games - chiefly Age of Mythology and Halo Wars 2 and Company of Heroes 3. We have distributed nearly $30,000 in event prizes across all our supported games, present and past since our launch in 2021. This has been possible in huge part thanks to the community's generous contributions to event prize pools, as well as our own out-of-pocket investment. With Broken Arrow, tournaments are still uncharted territory. Given this, our trial tournaments, as well as any possible full seasons will be community-funded only. We will be closely monitoring the performance of the event in order to decide about whether to commit to Broken Arrow in the long term. To be crystal clear, we are certainly interested, but it needs to make economical sense for us to take on extra costs. The metrics we will look at to judge the event's performance will include: Average viewership and follower growth on Twitch Average viewership, subscriber growth and watch time on YouTube Number of tournament participants (excluding no-shows) Prize pool donations Community support revenue (website patrons, staff tips, Twitch revenue, etc) Discord server growth Depending on the results we will scale our support for the game between the below. We humbly request that you let your friends know that they can help bring more esports events to Broken Arrow by simply tuning in! No support: if our event completely misses the mark, we can't commit to anything Small scale support: a singular open league tier, mostly aimed at pro players Medium scale support: 3 tiered leagues for amateur, rising star and pro players Full scale support: Regular showmatches, plus 3 tiered leagues for amateur, rising star and pro players Note: the above implies that we would implement Broken Arrow to make use of our first party tournament hosting and seasonal ladder system, as well as showmatch system. This will take significant development effort, which is why we need to be certain that committing is the right call for us to make. Thank you very much for reading. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments, or reach us on Discord! We'll see you on the battlefield.

Hi all, Close followers of our YouTube channel may have already seen our financial report video for the first half of 2025. If you haven't, feel free to watch the whole thing, but we wanted to give you the short version here in writing as well. Note: the video is much more detailed! How is Meta Plays set up? Meta Plays is 100% owned by Nakamura. It's just a second brand name. The structure is self employment in the UK, so Meta Plays is not a company. Nakamura funds the project with a mix of personal day job income and content creation income. Our paid team consists of a web developer, 3 community managers, a graphic designer and an editor. Our mission remains as usual: we boost our team's favourite RTS game communities via tournaments. We roll as much revenue as possible back into the project. So, how are we doing? Not too bad actually! But not amazing either. We're near the end of our "build" phase, and will start our "growth" focus in the next year. Basically, we spend just over 2x of what we make with the project. £7,330 in expenses vs £3,400 in income in 2025 H1. Ending the "build" phase means we will no longer develop website features, removing development costs. Once we look past the large one-off Age of Mythology Deathmatch tournament and dev costs, we are near break-even. We had a MASSIVE 78% HoH increase in sponsorship revenue. This hugely helps us pay for our events. What about the games and their leagues? The Company of Heroes 3 Pro League is our most-watched series on Twitch! We are super pleased, as it's quite new. Halo Wars 2 in all its forms remains most popular, and this is the community that supports us the most by a mile. The Halo Wars 2 Amateur League wins in cost effectiveness, making back 44% of its costs via just content revenues. Age of Mythology has drastically underperformed regardless of whether it was major esports, or our own events. Despite this underperformance, we are sticking with our AoM Deathmatch League this season. What didn't go so well in 2025 H1 While soon addressed, the deficit is a massive drain on resources. Website feature development has been overblown in prioritization, and remains hard to justify going forward. We are no longer relevant in Age of Mythology, despite having been a co-host of a Microsoft-sponsored event. We are not able to interest top players with our low prize pools as compared to MS-sponsored events. MS-sponsored esports occupies the vast majority of prime slots, making scheduling tough. Direct community revenue is at a historically very low share (14.7%) of our income, totalling at just ~£500. Goals for 2026 Half-year event planning (seasons and reports). Achieve a break-even budget for each season. Grow average Twitch viewership and thus sponsorship revenue (targeting £2,000/season). Pursue Relic Sponsorship for CoH 3 Pro League. Addition of Rising Star CoH 3 League (top 8 players excluded). Website and tooling dev wrapped up, entering maintenance mode (imminent). Community-held tournaments and show matches on our website (imminent). Patronage revenue to fund more content pieces once new goals are hit. Increased number of total events for performant games. Failing above, prize pool reductions for low performers. Experiment with crowdfunded events for low performers. Consider pausing our self-funded Age of Mythology events until we’re needed again. Nakamura to cover crowdfunded passion projects (AoM Deathmatch / SpellForce 3) on personal channels. This will help Meta Plays perform better by removing the worst performers from the data set. Eliminate cheating in Halo Wars 2 events. Ways to financially support Meta Plays Become a Patron of the RTS Make a donation to a tournament or our staff Commission a show match Watch and share our content on Twitch and YouTube Participate in sponsorships as we announce them on Discord Thank you very much for reading. We'll see you on the battlefield.

Exception: Cannon Fodder can take nodes any way you want. Players must use in-game chat or DMs to notify casters of the node-strat. Casters will need to confirm for validity. If base and slot building count is even/very close, and neither team has a large army advantage, the game is a draw. If one team has an army advantage, casters will send a final attack prompt. The outcome of this last attack determines whether a winner or a draw is called, based on the base/slot building count afterwards. Draws result in both teams receiving a point on the scoreboard. If one team has a clear base and slot building count advantage and their opponent is not in a position to even out the game with the next attack, the team with more slot buildings wins. Replay match if the series ends on tie. The previous loser picks map in this case. No cheating or intentional exploiting of any form allowed. First instance penalty for active cheating is 1 year, followed by a permanent ban next time. Exploit use is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Hosting Games will be hosted by the higher seeded team when staff is not present. Casters will host if they are present. Exceptions may apply based on judgement calls. SOCIAL RULES Participants must be in the Meta Plays Discord. Report match results there (we will provide instructions). Scores will need to be supplied with links from HaloWarsHub to verify the scores. There will not be a fourth chance after the season-long ban expires. Penalties for not showing up: Timer starts when 1 team is ready and neither team is currently playing a match. Late by over 10 minutes: opponent gains 1 match win. This is the wait time BEFORE a series begins. BETWEEN games in a series, the lateness limit is 5 minutes. Late by additional 5 minutes: opponent gains 1 match win for each 5 min. Once a team wins via lateness penalties, the late team is disqualified. No harassment, discrimination, or false cheating accusations against players/viewers/staff on any of our platforms. You will be disqualified, forfeit of prizes in this event, and be permanently banned from all event participation. Cheating accusations are meant to handled in private with Meta Plays staff. Stalling games after final staff decisions (e.g. via cheating accusation arguments) will result in lateness penalties. The team who didn't disconnect may choose a new map, and both teams may choose a new leader. In the second instance, the team who didn't disconnect receives a point on the score board. In the third instance, the team who didn't disconnect wins the series. If both sides crash 3 times, reset PC/Xbox and internet. If a team was significantly ahead: Admin win is awarded for the match for all cases. In the third instance, the team who didn't disconnect wins the series. Johnson/Jerome crash: The Johnson/Jerome team loses. In the event of both teams causing a crash, we will treat this case as a disconnect and follow rules around them. PAYMENT You will be paid approximately 10 work days after the event. Please reach out to @Nakamura with your payment information after the event. If you do not provide payment information despite requests within 60 days after the event, you forfeit the prize money. You confirm that the account you provide is owned by you. We do not take responsibility for funds getting lost to third parties in the event of the account not belonging to you. We will not pay out to a known third party. We can pay out via Revolut, bank transfers or PayPal. We do not pay out via other methods. Our recommendation is Revolut for the following reasons: You keep more of your money, as there is no fee. It allows us to send in GBP, which then you can convert at the same rate we can. We do not pay extra to cover transfer or currency conversion fees. You may request to receive your prize in your local currency. This tournament takes place during a war period. Ukraine has been invaded by Russia and Belarus. In light of NATO sanctions against Russia and Belarus, we are not able to pay out prizes to residents of Russia or Belarus. Russian or Belarusian citizens are not affected by this if they reside in an un-sanctioned country, or have financial accounts in such a country able to receive payments. Affected prizes will be paid to a selected charity unrelated to the war, chosen by our staff. LIVE STREAMING & VIDEOS: Players: You may stream all of your own matches.
