This mod heavy rebalances the game to more resemble the legacy AoM game, taking only the needs of the Deathmatch game mode into account.
The mod will be used in DM tournaments hosted by Meta Plays.

Goals:

  • Increase feelings of nostalgia
  • Reduce the snowballing created by the much larger early game armies
  • Encourage 3 Town Centers to be the main objective of most build orders
  • Reduce late game building spam
  • Reduce volatility of siege weapons
  • Bring back instant kill myth units
  • Boost some of the more underused minor gods
  • Reduce Norse and Chinese dominance

General:

  • Blind pick enabled in lobbies - you won't see the gods picked until you're loaded in
  • Fortress-type building limit: 15 -> 10
  • Tower limit: 30 -> 20
  • House limit: 16 -> 12
  • Town Center HP: 2400 -> 3000
  • Fortified Town Center population addition: 10 -> 15
  • Deathmatch starting favor: 200 -> 100
  • Deathmatch god power cooldown multiplier: 1.5x -> 2x
  • Engineers Siege damage increase: 1.5x -> 1.35x
  • Relics not affecting DM won't spawn
  • Advanced Fortifications: fortress-type building damage buff reverted (to +30%)

Atlantean:

  • Manor limit: 8 -> 6
  • Atlantean Hero conversion time: 7s -> 4s
  • Citizen HP: 100 -> 115
  • Citizen Hero HP: 125 -> 150
  • New Empyrian Speed effect: infantry attacks 10% faster
  • Katapeltes (and hero) bonus vs siege: 0 -> 2x
  • Spider Lair CD: 90s -> 60s
  • Spider Lair cost escalation: 3 -> 2 favor
  • Carnivora: is now healable
  • Carnivora recast cost: 20 -> 10
  • Valor recast cost: 1 -> 0
  • Traitor cost escalation: 15 -> 5
