This mod rebalances the game, taking only the needs of the Deathmatch game mode into account.
The mod will be used in DM tournaments hosted by Meta Plays.

Note: all changes are on top of the currently active PUP.

Goals:

  • Counteract some of the worst building buffs to allow for more dynamic play (avoiding building spam and useless cavalry)
  • Boost some of the more underused minor gods
  • Reduce Norse and Chinese dominance

General:

  • Blind pick enabled in lobbies - you won't see the gods picked until you're loaded in
  • Fortress-type building limit: 15 -> 10
  • Tower limit: 30 -> 20
  • Relics not affecting DM won't spawn
  • Advanced Fortifications: fortress-type building damage buff reverted (to +30%)
  • Crenellations Tower bonus damage vs cavalry: +50% -> +25%

Greek:

  • Pestilence range: 50 -> 40
  • Pestilence recast cost: 50 -> 80 favor
  • Curse conversion: 800 -> 1200 resources worth of units
  • Divine Blood build rate increase effect: +15% -> +10%
  • Hydra favor cost: 28 -> 22
  • Hydra pierce armor: 50% -> 60%
  • Manticore favor cost: 25 favor -> 22 favor
  • Polyphemus crush dmg: 15 -> 25
  • Polyphemus splash area (normal attacks): none -> 2 
  • Medusa cost: 250 wood 24 favor, 3 population -> 300 wood 25 favor, 4 population
  • Face of the Gorgon range buff on Medusa: 5 -> 4

Egyptian:

  • Isis monument god power blocking radius: 25 -> 30
  • Serpents now controllable
  • Serpent bonus vs Villagers: x0.1 -> none
  • Serpent damage: 5 -> 9
  • Citadel CD: 120s -> 240s
  • Mercenaries: no longer decay HP, but gain 60s lifespan
  • Roc HP: 700 -> 400
  • Roc speed: 5.3 -> 4.3
  • Roc cost: 100 gold, 5 favor -> 250 gold, 20 favor
  • Roc can perform hot pickups, landing ability removed
  • Ancestors recast cost: 100 -> 75 favor
  • Nebty: now affects Son of Osiris
  • Phoenix egg hatch time: 50s -> 30s

Norse:

  • Odin regeneration: 0.4 HP/s -> 1 HP/s
  • Spy recast cost: 60 -> 20 favor
  • Gullinbursti recast cost: 300 -> 200 favor
  • Walking Woods cost escalation: 50 -> 20 favor
  • Walking Woods HP: 240 -> 400
  • Walking Woods hack damage: 16 -> 30
  • Mountain Giant pierce armor: 40% -> 50%
  • Rock Giant HP: 850 -> 1000
  • Battle Boar favor cost: 27 -> 24
  • Nidhogg can be healed
  • Nidhogg bonus vs myth units: none -> x2
  • Nidhogg damage: 40 hack, 40 crush -> 60 hack, 60 crush
  • Inferno CD: 180s -> 240s
  • Fafnir gold donation: 300 -> 150
  • Fury of the Fallen boost: +25% -> +15%
  • Fimbulwinter: now blocks other Fimbulwinters while active
  • Fimbulwinter Wolf HP: 180 -> 250
  • Fimbulwinter duration: 31s -> 40s
  • Fenris Wolf population cost: 2 -> 3
  • Fenris Wolf favor cost: 15 -> 20
  • Berserkergang Life Steal: 35% -> 25%
  • Ragnarok Hero Pierce Armor: 15% -> 20%
  • Fire Giant HP: 600 -> 700
  • Granite Blood HP effect on Fire Giants: +40% -> +20%

  • Spider Lair CD: 90s -> 60s
  • Spider Lair cost escalation: 3 -> 2 favor
  • Carnivora: is now healable
  • Carnivora recast cost: 20 -> 10
  • Valor recast cost: 1 -> 0
  • Traitor cost escalation: 15 -> 5
  • Traitor CD: 180 -> 120s
  • Hesperides Tree CD: 60s -> 180s
  • Hesperides Tree recast favor cost: 0 -> 75
  • Lance of Stone: Contarius Heroes gain x2 bonus vs buildings
  • Tartarian Gate spawn limit: 7 -> 10
  • Tartarian Gate recast cost: 350 -> 200
  • Vortex recast cost: 0 -> 100
  • Implode CD: 180s -> 240s
  • Argus acid explosion divine damage: 50 -> 75

Chinese:

  • Pioneer limit: N/A -> 10
  • Creation Clay Peasants spawned in Heroic/Mythic/Wonder Ages: 8/12/30 -> 6/8/10
  • Creation recast favor cost: 75 -> 100
  • Dao Swordsman hack and pierce armor: 30% -> 25% 
  • Earth Wall cooldown: 120s -> 180s
  • Advanced Defences: ability to upgrade Wall Connectors to Towers removed
  • Sage limit: 5 -> 3
  • Chu Ko Nu hack armor: 20% -> 15%
  • Chu Ko Nu pierce armor: 25% -> 15%
  • Chu Ko Nu damage: 8 -> 6
  • Divine judgement bonus vs myth unit effect removed
  • Drought duration: 60s -> 40s
  • Drought recast cost escalation: 5 -> 25
  • Scorching Feathers no longer affects myth units and heroes.
  • Scorching Feathers effect duration: 5s -> 2s
  • Axe Cart cost: 200w 200g 4pop -> 250w 250g 5pop
  • Yinglong: is now healable
